The British BMG Federation is an organisation that celebrates all things fretted. We aim to promote the performance and learning of banjos, mandolins and guitars by creating educational opportunities for players of all ages to develop and improve their skills on their chosen instruments.

Festival 2024 will take place in Cambridge in association with Moonlight Mandolin Orchestra. Scroll down for details of venue and a link to the BMG Federation website where you can download the Festival Weekend Syllabus Booklet

All weekend events will take place at:

Churchill College,

Storey’s Way, Cambridge, CB3 0DS.

Churchill College is one of 31 colleges in Cambridge which are home to the students attending the University. It was founded in 1960 as a national and Commonwealth memorial to Winston Churchill and is home to about 500 undergraduates and 300 post-graduate students. It has an accessible campus and is a short walk from the centre of the city.

All Festival weekend events will take place at the College venue and we hope this will facilitate wide social contact  opportunities, friendship and music making for all those coming to share in this wonderful weekend.

An online booklet is available from the Festival Page of the BMG Federation website with travel details, maps, accommodation options and full details of all weekend events including Friday evening concert, Saturday and Sunday workshops and concerts, Saturday evening entertainment and Sunday contests.
